• What is a nodal point and why is it so important?
A nodal point of a camera is the exact point within the lens where the image inverts. It is the spot within the camera lens through which all-incoming light rays pass. Rotating the camera about this point when shooting for panoramas ensures that the relative positions of objects within your scene do not change from image to image, failure to do so results in ghosts or double images.
