The Special Competitive Upgrade Offer is in effect immediately. This
offer coincides with the shipping of the company's first products, VR
PanoWorx

19, 1998. Here are the details: for $39.99 plus s&h, customers can
choose VR PanoWorx or VR ObjectWorx, when proof of ownership of a competing

Beginning Friday, November 20, VR Toolbox will offer visitors to its

designer, which combines elements such as QTVR panoramic and object movies,
as well as still images and linear movies into a comprehensive interactive
experience. This Public Beta Demo will be a full working evaluation copy
with a time expiration of December 31st. It can be downloaded from http://www.vrtoolbox.com.
Along with VR PanoWorx and VR ObjectWorx, VR SceneWorx will complete
the
QTVR picture.
The first VR Toolbox products are VR PanoWorx and VR ObjectWorx for the
Mac OS. They are authoring tools that produce the two basic elements
of QuickTime VR, panoramic movies (VR PanoWorx) and object movies (VR
ObjectWorx).
During October's PhotoPlus Expo, VR Toolbox unveiled and demonstrated
the next two products in the line, VR SceneWorx for the Mac OS and
VR PanoWorx for Windows. VR PanoWorx for Windows represents the
most comprehensive and intuitive QTVR pano tool that the Windows environment
has ever seen. VR PanoWorx for Windows is the first of the product line
to be released for the Windows environment, with VR ObjectWorx for Windows
and VR SceneWorx for Windows to follow at the beginning of the year. Still
to come is VR Toolbox's suite of QTVR tools, The VR Worx, combining
all the company's QuickTime VR solutions in a unique studio environment.
Soon to be released, the company touts it as the ideal tool suite for
the user who requires all that QuickTime VR has to offer. Like the other
products in the VR Toolbox collection, it will debut for the Mac OS,
with
the Windows version quick to follow.
Both VR PanoWorx and VR ObjectWorx sell for $149.99 and VR SceneWorx sells
for $89.99. All are available directly from VR Toolbox. A reseller and
distributor program is being developed in order to make the product line
readily available worldwide. The entire product line will be available
for both Windows and the Mac OS. The first releases are aimed at the Mac
OS with Windows versions beginning to ship in December. VR Toolbox offers
full working evaluation copies of its software, available for download
at www.vrtoolbox.com.
VR Toolbox, Inc. is a young company, that made its debut on July 21,
1998 at SIGGRAPH 98 in Orlando, Florida. The company's focus is the development
and marketing of software tools for QuickTime VR. VR Toolbox aims to
deliver
precision, power and professionalism to all segments of the Immersive

this technology from its creators, Florida-based Econ Technologies, Inc.
Pittsburgh-based VR Toolbox, Inc. promises to continually strive to be
an exciting, important and influential force within the Immersive Imaging

comes from the same source as that of its sister company, Emery Manufacturing & Equipment, Inc.,

Imaging photographic professional.
Apple Computer, Inc. developed QuickTime VR as an integral aspect
of its QuickTime media layer. Through Apple's vigorous support of the
technology's adoption as an industry standard, QuickTime is succeeding
in becoming the cross-platform standard, worldwide. And now, with Apple's
recent release of QuickTime 3.0, QuickTime VR v2.1 and streaming QuickTime
Plug-In v2.0, that standard's acceptance is being achieved. QuickTime
VR is an extension of Apple's basic QuickTime technology and supports
two different types of views, QTVR panorama movies and QTVR object movies.
